Studio Policies

At Out There Singing, our goal is to create a space that is welcoming, sustainable, and respectful of everyone’s time, energy, and access needs.

These policies help us support our community while maintaining healthy boundaries and ensuring sessions remain available to those who need them.

Communication

  • Email is our preferred method of communication, particularly for scheduling changes, cancellations, and administrative matters.

  • While we may occasionally communicate by text or social media, we cannot guarantee these messages will be seen promptly.

  • For anything time-sensitive, please contact us by email.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a private session.

  • Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

  • This policy allows us to offer available time to other community members and maintain a sustainable schedule.

  • We understand that unexpected situations arise. If an emergency occurs, please reach out as soon as possible and we will do our best to find a solution.

Illness & Health

  • Please do not attend in-person sessions if you are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness.

  • Whenever possible, in-person sessions may be moved online instead of being cancelled.

  • We want to support both individual access needs and the health of the wider community.

  • If you’re unsure whether attending is appropriate, please reach out and we’ll work together to determine the best option.

Monthly Packages & Ongoing Programs

  • Clients participating in recurring private lessons, monthly lesson packages, or ongoing group programs are enrolled on a month-to-month basis.

  • Because space is reserved for these participants on an ongoing basis, we require 30 days’ notice to cancel a recurring package or membership.

  • This allows us adequate time to offer spaces to other community members who may be waiting for support.

Accessibility

  • Accessibility is an ongoing conversation, not a checklist.

  • We recognize that people’s needs may change over time and that no single approach works for everyone.

  • If there is anything that would help you participate more fully in sessions, programs, or events, we encourage you to let us know. We will do our best to provide reasonable accommodations wherever possible.

  • Out There Singing’s approach is informed by accessibility consultation, neurodivergent-inclusive practice, and a commitment to meeting people where they are.

Questions?

If you have questions about any of these policies, please reach out before booking. We’re always happy to clarify expectations and help you find the best fit for your needs.
